Usher is an absolute legend who I often feel like doesn’t get the credit he deserves… so I couldn’t be happier seeing him FINALLY get this moment!
Loads of names have been thrown around all year on who would be headlining the next Super Bowl halftime show. We’ve seen names like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, a 90’s revival and more… However, I think the NFL got it right this time. Usher has been named as the headline act for Super Bowl LVIII’s Halftime Show. The NFL announced the decision via a skit involving Usher and Kim Kardashian. This will be Usher’s second time performing at the event after he made a guest appearance with the Black Eyed Peas in 2011.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman,” Jay-Z — Roc Nation founder and past Usher collaborator said. “Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
Now, I don’t if anyone else has thought this.. but Usher alone is going to be one hell of a show, but can you imagine the potential guest list he has with this catalog? My god. Take a look at the announcement for yourself and let us know your thoughts. Will you be tuned in?
