B*TCH, WHO IS THAT?: People Are Just Realizing Madame Tussaud’s Nicki Minaj Wax Figure Looks Like a Middle Aged Hispanic Woman & The Internet is Confused

Why does Nicki Minaj’s wax figure look like someone’s abuela on all fours?

If Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Germany weren’t in this exact pose, nobody would have guessed that it showed the New York rap superstar. After enjoying a long career in music, Minaj has announced that she will be taking time to build a family with her husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. Preemptively telling her fans that she would be entering retirement, the rapper has already turned back on that claim, appearing on other artist’s records as a featured guest. She seems to still have an interest in pursuing a career in the business but, for the time being, she’s laying low and channeling her energy into her personal life. Perhaps her absence from the game caused some to forget what she even looks like because, well, Madame Tussauds in Germany just did her dirty with this one.

Unveiling a new wax sculpture of Nicki Minaj in one of their European locations, the world-famous tourism spot is getting clowned online for showing off a depiction of Nicki Minaj that looks nothing like the “Chun-Li” rapper. Aside from the arm tattoo, outfit, and pose, nothing about this points to it being Nicki Minaj. In fact, the face looks more like a bad Kourtney Kardashian…or even someone Hispanic.

After the reveal yesterday, Nicki’s devoted fan base “The Barbz” were up-in-arms over the wax version of Nicki. Photos circulated on social media, outlets reported on the backlash, and people were outraged about the likeness being nothing like Nicki. However, if the wax figure looks familiar, it’s because it was the same one that was unveiled at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas nearly four-and-a-half years ago.

According to TMZ, the wax figure landed in Berlin, Germany because the museums often exchange attractions to keep things fresh. So, Nicki’s wax “Anaconda” music video remake may have been new to Berlin, but it’s the same ol’ figure from Sin City. Additionally, when Nicki saw images of her double back in 2015, she hopped online to share her love and enthusiasm about the figure.

In August 2015, Nicki shared a video of her Madame Tussauds Las Vegas display on Instagram. “YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this,” she wrote in the emoji-heavy caption. “😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I would’ve went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure- whoever did this ❤️😍😘😘😍😘❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌.” People may not like it, but Nicki apparently loved it. Peep her original reaction along with many of the public’s reactions below. What do you guys think?
