ISSA BOP OR ISSA FLOP?: DreamDoll Just Dropped Off the Perfect ‘Cuffing Season’ Anthem with Her New Record – “You Know My Body”

There’s a certain shift that happens once the Summer months cool down and we head into winter/fall, some call this normally cool, calm, and collected time ‘cuffing season,’ and apparently Dream may have gotten that memo as she provided the perfect vibes for her latest single.

Rising Bronx rapper DreamDoll is back with some new music, making her official Warner Records debut with her latest single “You Know My Body” featuring Capella Grey. The track pays homage to Fabolous’ 2003 smash hit, “Can’t Let You Go” and see’s Dream show off a softer side on the track, rapping about self-love and the requirements one would need to be with her.

“I admit that I like you or whateva. That’s why you gotta check on me like I was at Nike or whateva. My phone don’t ring? It’s curtains for you and that b*tch so make sure that the sh*t is working,” Dream commands over the laid back track. With it being such a well-known sample, there’s always room to fear if the artist tackling it can deliver, but Dream definitely did just that, creating her own vibe overall. It’s so New York.

With this being the first release of Dream’s deal with Warner and the song honestly sounding tailor made for radio (especially at this time of year) I can definitely see it making quite a bit of noise for Dream. Take a listen to “You Know My Body” below and let us know what you think. ISSA BOP OR ISSA FLOP?
