A wise woman once said, “see when you do clownery, the clown comes back to bite.
Things haven’t been the same for DaBaby since the North Carolina rapper proved himself to be quite a little agent of chaos. There have been quite a few moments where Baby stirred up controversy, perhaps the most notable where he made homophobic remarks on stage last year. The comments had immediate repercussions, as several festivals removed him from their lineups. But even though the heat has died down, it seems he hasn’t been able to achieve the same heights.
Last month, the “Rockstar” rapper released his newest project, Baby On Baby 2, and it didn’t match the success of his previous efforts. The album failed to hit the top 20 and saw only 17,200 units sold first week. This was a massive 86% drop in first week sales from his previous which debuted at No. 1 and moved 124,000 units.
Now, it seems album sales aren’t the only place he’s seeing a decline, apparently his concert tickets aren’t moving how they once were either. The fans he has left in Birmingham, AL have the opportunity to see him at a discounted price. The “Suge” rapper is set to perform at Iron City, a venue that holds 1,300 people. Those who buy tickets at the price of $22 will be able to get a second ticket free.

While it’s not unusual for an artist to sell tickets at discounted rates, whether it be by way of Groupon or BOGO specials, many are saying that the discount on these tickets is indicative of the once-promising superstar falling off. This also comes just after Baby reportedly had to cancel shows for selling less than 500 tickets.
“DaBaby selling his tickets BOGO has got to be the saddest sh*t ever,” said one Twitter user. “And it’s crazy cause nobody else hurt his career more than he did. Talk about self-sabotage.”
It’s hard to pinpoint where the downfall of began, but many believe that it has to do with the homophobic remarks, as well as bringing Tory Lanez, who allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020, onto the stage…and of course that awful situationship with DaniLeigh.
Take a look at some of the reactions and let us know your thoughts. Are you still checking for DaBaby?
DaBaby selling his tickets BOGO has got to be the saddest shit ever for a rapper. And it’s crazy cause nobody else hurt his career more than he did. Talk about self sabotage, a lack of situational awareness, and ego.

DaBaby's downfall makes me realize something. If the music is GOOD you will continued to be supported regardless of the abuse, misogyny, anti-LGBT bigotry, etc. DaBaby's music must NOT be good because he is struggling to sell tickets.

Imagine telling someone in 2019 about what would be coming in the next three years: Including dababy running a BOGO concerts by 2022 https://t.co/oKPUbQI3qv

I know ppl are laughing at Dababy doing BOGO at his concert but… if any of you other artists want to do that, I’d greatly appreciate it 😭

Just 2 years ago dababy could’ve sold out shows with tickets that cost no less than $80, now he’s struggling to fill a room & have to do BOGO just so he doesn’t have to cancel a show. As fast as u could get something is as fast as you could lose it. Remain humble
