RAISE YOUR OWN DAMN KIDS: Cardi B Claps Back At Critic Who Wants to Know Why Her Daughter Has to Listen to “WAP” But Cardi’s Isn’t – “I’m Not JoJo Siwa!”

We’ve stepped into a whole new year and still, Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ is still on tongues causing debate and controversy. Iconic.

Months ago, in the summer of 2020, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion came through with their hit song “WAP” which immediately sent the social media world into a massive frenzy. The record breaking track seemed to quickly become a conversation and debate on television, social media, and even among politicians for it’s unapologetically sexy content. Of course, in 2020, these kinds of lyrics shouldn’t have come as a surprise, although we do live in a time where folks love to seem they’re “woke,” and offended to seem like they’re about something so naturally there were still people out there who seemed to be offended.

Well, the conversation continues into the new year apparently as some folks haven’t learned yet that they can’t depend on artists, television, and music to raise their children for them. When an old clip of Bardi on Instagram live back when the song was first released resurfaced for some reason, some users attempted to come for Cardi. The clip sees Cardi getting caught off guard as she was playing the track and having fun with fans. At one point, her daughter Kulture ends up in the frame and when Cardi realizes, she understandably rushes to turn off the song, protecting the baby girl’s ears from the adult content of the song.

One Twitter user came at Cardi directly after reposting the clip, “So ya daughter cant listen to it but everybody else’s daughter can ? @iamcardib AW OKAY ! Exactly what I been saying you have an agenda to push with that trash ass label your with. DISGUSTING”

Bardi quickly checked the woman who was obviously confused on who should be doing her parenting, “Ya needs to stop with this already ! I’m not jojosiwa ! I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults.Parents are responsible on what their children listen too or see.I I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.”

She continued, “There’s moms who are strippers.Pop pussy ,twerk all night for entertainment does that mean they do it around their kids ? No! Stop makin this a debate. Its pretty much common sense.”

Now, I don’t have any children of my own but as someone with a ton of younger family members, if there’s something you don’t want them to have access to, then you take the steps to make sure that doesn’t happen. Granted, there’s no way to control what they see/hear at all times if they’re not in your sight but that’s also where your children and parenting come to play. What are your thoughts on this?

Should we not get adult music because some folks don’t know how to prevent their children from listening to it? Peep the tweets below:
