Megan Thee Stallion’s latest single “Cry Baby”, featuring her work husband DaBaby, is going off with dance challenges galore, of course sparking the need for a music video. In the Colin Tilley-directed clip (“Body,” “WAP”), the rappers transform into toys who come to life when nobody’s watching. F
Following a comedic intro from Instagram star BlameItOnKway, who plays the store employee, Megan turns up with her toy Hotties. DaBaby plays an action figure, racing his car through the aisles with the Hot Girl twerking in the front seat. But their toy story comes to an end when BlameItOnKway returns to find the store turned upside down after the toy twerk party.
During a livestream before the video’s premiere, Meg spoke about collaborating with DaBaby. “He’s super funny, super upbeat, super energetic,” she told fans. “I come in lit, he comes in lit, and we just really bounce off each other’s energy.”
“Cry Baby” is the third visual from Megan’s debut album Good News, which was recently certified gold. The song has also sparked the viral #CryBabyChallenge with participants including Mulatto and City Girls’ Yung Miami. I’m sure with Meg’s official choreo with the video we’ll see a couple more of those challenges.
