NO FRAUDS?: Nicki Minaj Gets Scammed By Janky Promoters for Show in China; Promised Her a Crowd of 8000 People Which Turned Out to Be 1000

It seems Nicki Minaj’s previous request of having “no frauds,” was not heard over in China.

On Saturday (Nov 17th) Nicki Minaj headed to Shanghai to take part in the Indonesia-founded Djakarta Warehouse Project Music Festival. However, apparently after Minaj and her team had already flown over 10 hours to China, the show did not go on at all.

Sources close to Minaj claim that although the stage was mounted, there were several technical flaws, with the structure and even legal problems, causing the “Barbie Dreams” rapper to call off the show.

According to the information provided by an organizer (of the supposed ‘event’) Nicki and her team were actually the victims of fraud, claiming: “Nicki flew over ten hours to China and started with rehearsals once she got off the plane (after a-hour jet trip from the United States to China and without taking any rest) just to find that the whole festival was A fraud. What’s worse, the festival tried to blame Nicki and asked fans that if they could scream their name to force it out (letter of sympathy). But there was no announcement or promotion and the festival had informed Nicki that there would be more than eight thousand people when in reality there were only a thousand. The Hotel room and all that was a mess. Nicki was disrespected. All the chinese barbz were furious […]”.

Leaked images of the event support what the organizer had declared, showing Nicki and her team only being alotted to small tents to get ready in, and also footage of the promoters encouraging the fans to beg Nicki to come out. To make matters worse, in an official statement, the organization behind the DWP festival issued an official statement claiming that they were not associated with any event in the city of Shanghai and that the organizers of the event used the name of their festival without the authorization.

For her part, Minaj appeared to be very upset for her fans and recorded a short video apologizing for what happened saying: “for my true fans in Shanghai, I will return again I love you so much! And I’ll be back with a better sponsor.”
