When Cardi B said she made money moves…she never lied. As her star continues to rise, Bardi is making all the right moves behind the scenes to joins the ranks of some of hip hop’s biggest moguls.
Our girl Cardi B has been making all the right moves to cement her as one of hip-hop’s most profitable moguls, even explaining in an interview that her goal is to cultivate a billion-dollar brand like Rihanna, the Bronx-native has already released her own line of dolls, launched her own Facebook Watch series Cardi Tries, and is set to star in her first feature-length film. She has also seen massive success with big brand collabs such as her sneaker/apparel deal with Reebok and the her Fashion Nova collaboration that sold out in minutes, now Bardi is set to make moves with her own brand.
According to legal documents obtained by the folks over at TMZ, Bardi’s company, Washpoppin Inc., filed legal docs to lock down the rights to the phrase “Bardi Beauty” — According to the trademark docs, Cardi is aiming to take on the world of beauty including stuff like cosmetics, fragrances, haircare, skincare, nail polish, nail enamel … pretty much the works when it comes to a beauty line.
The Bardi Beauty trademark is in its early stages of approval and it’s unclear when she plans to launch the brand. While the trademark may be new, the idea is not. Cardi has been working on a beauty brand for quite some time. “It’s something that I wanna do,” she even told “ET” in May 2019. She has also been very open in sharing her recipes for DIY hair masks, and in a recent Instagram post, she confirmed that she’s working on a line of hair products.
