IS IT BYE WIG?: Nene Leakes Laughs While Rumors Of “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” Firing Surface – “We Are in Negotiations!”

Nene Leakes has shared laughing emojis and posted a photo of her chuckling over on her Instagram page, and it all comes at a time when reports surfaced that she’s been fired from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Reality television is going through a few changes. We’re seeing plenty of influencers and reality TV figures being axed from the very shows that helped build their brands, mostly because of racist or racially-insensitive comments that have surfaced. Within the last few weeks, MTV, Bravo, The Food Network, and others have shared that they’ve cut ties with reality stars because they want to distance themselves from scandal. It looks like Nene Leakes may be the latest to get the boot, but in her case, it’s rumored that Bravo has fired her from The Real Housewives of Atlanta because she may have shot off one too many insults.

On Wednesday (June 17), Nene Leakes posted an enigmatic tweet that read, “You are NOT going to get away with this! I promise.” She later deleted it, but some have speculated that it was about her being permanently removed from the show. Nene was introduced to the world when the show first aired back in 2008, but in recent years, there have been reports about her arguing with production and being difficult during filming.

Famed blogger B. Scott shared an exclusive report of Nene’s firing, saying that she has not been asked to return for next season. The report also stated that Nene’s rep asked for them to take down their story and they refused. This comes days after Eva Marcille announced that she won’t be returning to the show because she wants to take advantage of “other opportunities.” NeNe has since released a statement stating she’s still in negotiations for the show:

“We are in negotiations! Not sure where these rumors are coming from!” Leakes told the folks over at Entertainment Tonight in a statement. “If these negotiations don’t work out, I will announce it myself.” Bravo also denied the reports in a statement to ET on Thursday. What side do you believe? Would you be sad to see NeNe get the boot?
