DON’T TALK ABOUT MY DADDY: Lil Wayne’s Daughter Reginae Comes for T.I. In Defense of Wayne!

Normally we see dads being super protective of their daughters, but in this case, it seems the daughter is just as protective over her father. Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, has come to her father’s defense after T.I. called him out for his comments about Black Lives Matter during his Nightline interview.

If you recall, Weezy said during the interview that he doesn’t relate with the BLM movement. “My life matter, especially to my bitches,” he proclaimed during the interview.

Tip watched the interview and was appalled by what he heard. So he took it upon himself to check the Young Money leader in a very lengthy Instagram post:

“You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name and tarnishing your legacy,” he wrote, adding, “I’m always here to share whatever knowledge or understanding I may have to assist your growth & development, but u MUST STOP this buffoonery & coonin’ you out here doin.”

Some critics have argued that since T.I. is good friends with Wayne that he should have called him behind the scenes and have a convo with him instead of airing him out on Instagram, and Wayne’s daughter seems to have agreed.

Reginae jumped in the comment section and told Tip that he “should’ve copied and pasted this and sent it to him [Lil Wayne] thru via text but u wanna seek for attention.” Jr Weezy also went on her social media accounts to affirm that she’s standing by her father no matter what anyone thinks of him.

“DO NOT COME FOR TOYA AND WAYNE. Just point.blank.period,” she tweeted.

On Instagram, Reginae posted a cute photo of her and Daddy Weezy with the caption, “I’ll always be right by your side ! I love you daddy.”

I'll always be right by your side ! I love you daddy ❤️

Aww, isn’t that sweet? Nothing beats a daughter’s devotion to her father. However, Wayne’s comments were ignorant none the less. As for T.I., I think we all have been guilty of maybe taking issues that should have been addressed in private to social media once or twice. Besides, Wayne placed that ignorance in the air What do you guys think? Do you think T.I. legitimately was offended by Wayne’s comments, or “seeking attention” as Reginae suggested?
