There’s been a number of different stories surrounding the status of Jamie Foxx’s health. Personally, I chose to wait on word from his family before relaying any information and today that comes directly from his daughter.
Jamie Foxx was hospitalized with what was only referred to as a mysterious “medical condition” (rumored to be a stroke) back in April and while his family has revealed that he was recovering, speculation about his condition and health has since run rampant via the internet. We’ve seen reports ranging from him already being released from the hospital, to some even claiming he’s on life support and his family was preparing for the worse. However, it appears Foxx’s daughter has had enough of the internet theories, and wants to set the record straight that he’s “recuperating.”
Following more reports that things weren’t looking good for her father, Corinne Foxx stepped and provided an update via her Instagram story today (5/12) writing, “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
She even hinted that he’s expected to be back to work soon as she followed up, “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
Again, this is a complete contradiction to what most of the media has been reporting. Several conflicting and unreliable reports about his status have surfaced. A typical report, this from Radar, claimed, “His friends and family are hoping for the best—but preparing for the worst!” but are short on any real details.
Now, while it is possible that his family just wants more privacy at this time, I think that out of anyone speaking it’s best to trust them until they’re ready to go in detail any further. At best, let’s just pray for Foxx’s complete healing regardless of what the current status is.. we just want to see this legend back out here.
