BLACK EXCELLENCE: Tiffany Haddish Makes History As First Black Female Comedian To Host SNL

November 11th will go down in history as the first time Saturday Night Live will have a black female comedian hosting the show.

Tiffany Haddish is the leading lady who will be making her mark, as she’s riding the success as a breakout star in the film Girls Trip. The movie follows a group of ladies who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival. Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall, and Queen Latifah also star in the flick that raked in $113.3 million at the domestic box office.

“Can you believe I will be the very first black comedian host?” Tiffany captions her Instagram post, as seen below.

The actress will be joined by Taylor Swift who is set to be the musical guest for the November 11th taping. The actress is also set to release an upcoming novel titled The Last Black Unicorn that will be a number of personal essays with her touch of edge and flair.

SNL’s November schedule is a big one. Eminem and Chance The Rapper will be taking over a taping on November 18th, one day after Em’s rumoured album Revival is set to drop. With Chance set to lead hosting duties and Em set to be the musical performance, it’s a clear clue that his appearance on the show was strategically planned out.

Maybe Chance will hop on the stage for a minute and share a few of his recent music endeavours since he was seen in the studio with 2 Chainz, Childish Gambino, Quavo and Lil Yachty.
