Plies was probably “big mad” at the time of his arrest.
Plies has been one of the main voices of Florida for years. The state may be run by younger artists like Lil Pump, Denzel Curry, and Smokepurpp now but Plies will always be considered an OG in the Sunshine State. Everybody knows that when you go to the airport, you should leave your most questionable belongings at home. Drugs, guns, and things of the sort are generally not the best things to bring with you on a plane. You’re pretty much guaranteed to get arrested. When Plies grabbed the wrong bag on his way to the Tampa airport today, he realized a little too late that he had accidentally brought a concealed weapon with him, ending up in cuffs.
According to TMZ, Plies was arrested this morning for carrying a concealed weapon, which is a felony in Florida since he didn’t have the proper permit. The rapper was trying to catch a flight when TSA scanned his carry-on bag, only to find his Glock 43 gun and a fully-loaded magazine beside it. Plies is currently being held at Tampa International Airport and he will be transported to Hillsborough County Jail shortly. The publication is reporting that Plies is a registered gun owner and has admitted that the weapon belongs to him.
Rather get caught with it than without it. This is still not the best situation for the artist, obviously.
