This definitely isn’t foreign territory. Every couple of years we see someone come out claiming they’re the lost child of some famous celebrity. Generally disappearing after their 15 minutes of fame is up. However, this particular instance involving Hov seems to be going a little further…
Jay-Z proudly claims his three children with Beyoncé, but he has also been engaged in an ongoing battle with a potential fourth. His alleged first son is taking their decades-spanning paternity case to the Supreme Court. 30-year-old Rymir Satterthwaite,claims to be the illegitimate son of the rapper, has been on this quest for a decade now, but claims Hov has managed to evade complying with the request.
Rymir’s mother, Wanda, unfortunately, passed away due to medical complications in 2019, however he’s been able to unseal a signed affidavit from her and share it with the folks at DailyMail, telling the late woman’s story on her behalf, to further establish his case.
The document dates back to February 2015 and contains claims from Wanda that she met Jay-Z as a teenager in New York. She was underage at the time, and he was 22. They spent a night together at his aunt’s apartment in Brooklyn, according to Mrs. Satterthwaite. At the time they did use protection, but it ultimately “broke,” resulting in a pregnancy.
Rymir told DailyMail that he refuses to let this go until “justice has been served.” “This is not going to be over until justice is served,” Satterthwaite said. “I just want to live my life and, when it is all said and done, I hope that JAY-Z would want to be a part of my life, if that is God’s will.” “I won’t stop fighting for this until I win,” he continued. “And I will win because the law is on our side.”
He also clapped back at most people’s first thought that this whole thing is a cash grab, “My whole thing was just to see who my father was and honestly I get my own money. I work two jobs, I take care of my own business,” he said.
