My girl Ciara’s goodies are clearly at diamond status to have Future still pressed and bitter, nearly a decade later.
Future is the one of the poster boys for toxic masculinity and “f*ck boys” in hip-hop. If you didn’t know by now, a quick Twitter search will enlighten you, as it’s one of the more agreed-upon rap memes in the modern era. Still, a recent diss actually sees him redirect his energy to his ex Ciara’s current partner, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. Moreover, it appears on his new collab with Quavo, “Turn Yo Clic Up,” and it’s not exactly a subtle dig at the athlete, either.
“I got it out the field, f**k Russell,” Future raps on his verse. Not only that, but he also brings up other ex-girlfriends in that part of the verse, making his shots at Wilson all the more pointed. “Go and ask Lori ’bout the Patek, then go and ask Jordan ask Dess. Phillipe water, tryna drown a b***h, it’s a habit trickin’ on a b***h.”
Now, while Fewtch’s little disses are almost sure to be ignored, Russell Wilson and Ciara recently congratulated each other on their seven-year wedding anniversary. The two posted wholesome messages on social media dedicated to each other so I’m sure Future’s bruised ego is probably the last thing on their mind. However, while it may make for a good headline and get a few extra streams to his record, I don’t think Future really understands how pathetic this makes him look.
This man (Future) has taken countless jabs over the years at this man (Russell) who when you really think about it… hasn’t done anything to him. Future fumbled his relationship with Ciara with infidelity and apparently couldn’t believe that she actually walked away. So instead of learning from that situation, you somehow develop anger for the man who was able to be everything for her that you couldn’t, and still taunt these people.. meanwhile they’re not only living their best lives, but also raising your child. At what point do you grow at your big age?
