It goes without saying that fans anxiously awaiting the follow-up to Cardi B’s highly-successful debut album, ‘Invasion Of Privacy,’ but if there was ever any doubt that she’s cooking, her recent features have been a strong indication that Bardi is working very hard. Throughout the past few months, Cardi’s extended her talents to uplift budding women in hip-hop, such as GloRilla (“Tomorrow 2“) and Latto, who she worked with on “Put It On The Floor Again.” The song’s already transforming into the song of the summer but Cardi’s golden touch may have also produced another anthem to ride out to alongside up and coming Chicago rapper FendiDa Rappa.
This morning, Cardi and FendiDa Rappa’s highly anticipated collaboration, “Point Me 2” arrived in its entirety. The song is an official remix of Fendi’s “Point Me To The Sl*ts,” which has slowly gained traction since its release in December. The song also appeared on Fendi’s debut project, Str8 From Da Raq. As the song began to see momentum bubbling via TikTok, Bardi swoops in with another show-stopping verse that pairs her strong delivery with back to back quotable that you’re sure to see all over your timelines for the remainder of the summer.
One look at the visual for Fendi and Cardi’s and you can already see this is about to take the records to new heights. Fendi’s cadence and quotable bars made the song already destined for viral success and an undeniable jam for the clubs. However, Cardi’s energy elevates it even further, making for the type of record you want to hear from beginning to end every time, rapping right along with her with your whole chest like you wrote and recorded it yourself During an Instagram live prior to the era tracks release Cardi told fans that she decided to hop on this record because she really loved the song and simply wanted to have fun while providing fun music for the fans and clubs alike.. and you can genuinely tell she had a ball with this record and video. It just feels good.
“Point Me 2” comes along with the announcement of Fendi’s deal with Irving Azoff’s Giant Music imprint, which includes artists like K. Flay and Tay B. “Point Me 2” is an incredible way to kick off this new chapter in FendiDa Rappa’s career and we’re certainly excited to see what she has in store next.
