Tyra Banks was once applauded for her “America’s Next Top Model” series, but recently her former reality series has been taking some hard hits.
Over the last few days, the public hasn’t been kind to Tyra Banks. The supermodel mogul has been receiving harsh criticisms in the media after clips of her hit show America’s Next Top Model have resurfaced. When the show aired many moons ago, it was a No. 1 hit among fans. Tens of thousands of hopefuls auditioned to be on the modeling reality series and wanted to be judged by Tyra Banks and her cast of highly critical judges.
In the clips that have been circulating, Tyra can be seen mocking people’s looks, telling them they have to permanently change themselves to be marketable or accepted, and even dressing up white women in blackface and afros in photo shoots. People have called for her to be canceled or have stated that she’s no role model for women, and after days of complaints from the public, Tyra has come forward to address her critics.
“Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past ANTM moments and I agree with you,” she penned on Twitter. “Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs.” She ended her message with a heart emoji. Check it out below along with some of the backlash below. What do you guys think of all this? Was it just a different time and something Tyra and others could learn from?..or are you not buying her apology?

Tyra to Danielle Evans: Close your damn gap, girl. They are not gonna hide you if you are out there like that.
Tyra to Chelsey Hersley: Your gap is cute, let’s make it wider!

Since we are on the topic of things Ms. Tyra Banks did during America’s Next Top Model, let’s remember how she did a photoshoot where she had models dressed up as “biracial beauties”. Her obsession with blackface and mixed race was so weird. pic.twitter.com/RRjnoQlf0V

These Tyra revelations are another example of why it's dangerous to "root for everybody Black" if the person you're rooting for carries the same level of hatred about you and themselves as their masters.

The nerve. You worked for Mona Scott and got the right to call Tyra Banks problematic? https://t.co/Jqd41EETjH
