ARE WE BATTLING OR WHAT?: Diddy & Jermaine Dupri Get Into Heated Exchange on IG Live As Diddy Continues to Dismiss His Catalog – “I’m the Greatest!” (WATCH)

At this point, the conversation is becoming so heated that they may as well take advantage of the promo and move forward with the battle. We told you how Diddy previously stated that Dupri didn’t have enough hits to go up against him on “Verzuz” and the two got into a tense face-to-face conversation.

They’re two of the biggest producers in Hip Hop with legacies that continue to reach new heights decades after they stepped into the scene, but there has been a divide in recent days regarding their catalogs. Verzuz has ignited a bit of a war after Jermaine Dupri publicly called out Diddy for a battle. The Bad Boy mogul answered the So So Def icon and didn’t seem interested in going up against him but instead wanted smoke with Dr. Dre.

We aren’t sure if Diddy’s Dr. Dre dreams will materialize in the future, but there has been a back-and-forth of sorts between Diddy and Dupri. Yesterday (September 17), Fat Joe and Snoop Dogg managed to get the two producers on Livestream where things got a tad heated. Diddy and Dupri went tit-for-tat about what tracks they would play in a hypothetical Verzuz as Diddy doubled down on his comments about Dupri not having the same reach.

Diddy said he would open his Verzuz with “Victory,” his 1990s track with Busta Rhymes and Biggie, but Durpi wasn’t impressed and called it a “mediocre record.” To call the conversation awkward and tense is an understatement.

“You amnesia-having motherf’ers. I done gave y’all life for mf’n 20 years of music,” he said. “I’ma tell you, JD, anything I touch. Anything I breathed on, executive produced, anything I thought up, anything I fucking did, whatever. You hear me? Don’t play with me.”

“I’m no the one, yo… I’m the greatest. What the fuck y’all talking about? I have the most No. 1s as an artist,” he said with mild pushback from JD. I don’t even hear no one play none of your shit. Ayo, when we go back in the club, I don’t hear no one play none of your shit. Ain’t nobody rocking no Kriss Kross shit, or no Bow Wow. I want Dre! Where is Dre? Where is Dre?”

Check out highlights below and let us know what you think? Is this a good set up for a battle or should JD just let it go?
