God really doesn’t play about Bardi, every time her haters open their mouths to speak against her, he sends major reminders that she is very much THAT GIRL.
As she gears up to release highly anticipated sophomore album, Cardi B is taking a trip down memory lane and celebrating a major streaming milestone. In the latest episode of Spotify‘s Billions Club series on Tuesday (May 14), the diamond selling MC reflected on the stories behind 4 of her hits that made the biggest impact on the platform, earning a billion streams on Spotify specifically.
To celebrate the historic accomplishment, Spotify arranged for plaques representing each of Bardi’s billions-streamed songs to be hand delivered to her. While sorting through the plaques, she reflected on not only on how each of the tracks came about, but also the feeling in general of seeing your music succeed in this way. “I never thought that, like, a record would be so big. You always feel like would any of my songs ever have this power again? So for a billion people to be able to sing these songs word for word, it’s like amazing and like a reassurance that you could do it!”
The tracks kicking off Bardi’s induction into the billions club are as follows, her record (and internet) breaking collaboration “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, “I Like It” which featured Bad Bunny and J Balvin, “Taki Taki” along with DJ Snake, Ozuna, and Selena Gomez, as well as ‘Girls Like You’ with Maroon 5.
Sharing the Billions Club video on Instagram, the Grammy winning rapper wrote “Wooow I got FOUR songs that hit the billion mark on Spotify!! Women lie, men lie.. but numbers don’t. I’m soooo excited to put out new music and reach even more milestones. Thank you sooo much everyone for listening, it really means alot to me.. I can’t wait for you to see and hear what’s next 😏 #BillionsClub”
