One of ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Miami’s breakout stars may have a hit on their hands.
Women have undeniably taken control of the hip-hop industry by storm, outpacing several of their male counterparts. Female artists like Cardi B, City Girls, Megan Thee Stallion and more have recently taken part in redefining the former stigma that only one lady could shine in hip hop, allowing many more new faces to follow.
‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ has also recently seen a new face break through, in the unapologetically loud, in your face, and outspoken star Sukihana. Suki is far from a new face for those familiar with her viral presence on social media, but LHH viewers have recently discovered her and fallen in love, with some even citing her as the reason they’ve tuned into this season of the Miami franchise.
Now, Suki is looking to turn that attention to her music with her new single “Pretty & Ratchet.” A new anthem that defines her controversial and captivating self, “Pretty & Ratchet” is triumphant and introspective, aimed at motivating women who think they can’t escape the hood: “Seventeen, had my first kid/Baby daddy did a lil bid/Used to get stamps and wick/Now look at me b*tch I’m the sh*t.”
“They doubted me because of where I came from,” says Sukihana. “Now look at me. I’m pretty and ratchet.
