JUSTICE IS SERVED: Tory Lanez Found Guilty on All Three Counts in Relation to Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

At the end of the day, regardless of who you’re a fan of, black women deserve justice. Now, that the jury has got it right, we can just pray for Megan’s healing.

A wise woman once said, when you do clownery…the clown comes back to bite. After over two years of speculation, hearsay, drama, and social media division, we have finally arrived at the conclusion of the case against Tory Lanez for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The verdict has finally been reached in the Tory Lanez trial, and the internet has lit up. After two weeks of controversial testimony, a jury has found the pint-sized rapper guilty of all charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm (personal use of a firearm); carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

It’s been one of the most talked about Hip Hop trials in recent years and with Megan and Tory immediately dividing the culture. He claimed Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris pulled the trigger, while Harris denied being the person responsible. The defense hoped to cast enough reasonable doubt in an effort to obtain a not-guilty verdict… but that is not at all what happened today.

“A jury has convicted Tory Lanez of all three charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion,” stated reporter Meghann Cunniff. “A crazy and downright scary scene in the courtroom as his father and stepmother screamed about wicked injustice.”

Tory was remanded on the spot, led out in handcuffs by sheriff’s deputies. There reportedly were six total in the courtroom, two at door and four behind Lanez, and there was quite a scene when they tried to get Lanez’s father and stepmother under control.

It’s interesting that his parents believe proper justice would have been their son walking away after shooting a woman, but that’s a different story for a different day and we’ll just choose to focus on the positive.. the fact that Megan Thee Stallion can truly begin healing after this traumatic experience. Realistically, I know that this will only make some of her detractors even more infuriated but I just hope she knows she’s loved and supported through this.

What are your thoughts on the verdict? Do you think the right decision was made?
