Who knew that when Rihanna hinted she’d be bringing a special guest to her halftime performance, she meant baby #2?
After all the wait, hype, and about seven years of waiting for Rihanna to return to the music stage, her Super Bowl halftime show was definitely something special. From her insane stage design which saw her floating in the middle of the stadium to her endless catalog of hits, the performance offered a lot to both stadium audiences and fans watching from their couch. While no special guests appeared, the singer gave a wonderful performance and oozed confidence as she sang her best hits. Also, she even took the chance to plug some Fenty products during her performance, as she used a mirror and blush.
To start things off, Rih played a short video with her track “What’s My Name?” When we finally saw her above the football field she stood on a suspended platform far above the field, with other stages reserved for some of her backup dancers. Her actual performance, though, began with her banger, “B***h Better Have My Money.” Also, she showed off a in red ensemble and she sang and floated up and down. Eventually, the star singer returned to Earth, but went back and forth between her main stage and the floating platforms.
But it wasn’t just Rihanna and her dancers the internet was focused on, there was immediate talk of questioning if she was pregnant based on what looked to be a baby bump coupled with the fact that she kept making subtle gestures towards her belly. Fans quickly began to debate as some immediately congratulated the singer while others held off suggesting that it’d be better to wait on an official confirmation.
Well, they didn’t have to wait to long as soon after the show Rihanna’s official reps reached out to media beginning with Rolling Stone confirming that she is indeed pregnant with baby #2!
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s first child was born in May of 2022 so it looks like they’ve decided to continue to grow their family pretty quickly! Congratulations to the happy couple!
