NAME DROP OR A DISS?: Coi Leray Seems to Think Latto Was Body-Shaming Her on Her New Track “Put it on Da Floor”

While I don’t think Latto meant this as a diss or any harm at all.. clearly there may have been a soft spot touched on Coi’s end.

Apparently, Coi Leray hasn’t taken too kindly to Latto name-dropping her on her new single “Put It On Da Floor,” accusing the Atlanta rapper of body-shaming her. Latto originally previewed the track during her Coachella performance, where she clearly let off some steam in the lyrics. Most people assumed that different shots she was taking were aimed Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s way, I don’t think anyone expected Coi feeling hit to be on today’s bingo card.

Coi fired off a series of tweets early Friday (April 21) calling out Big Latto for referencing her slender frame on her latest record, which dropped at midnight.

“Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray/ B****s like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade,” Latto spits on the track.

“Latto bye. here you go taking about my body,” Coi’s Twitter tirade began. “Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this shit is never ending.

“These b*****s wanna be like the n****s so bad. Y’all wanna have rap beef SOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD [crying face emojis] … LITTLE MISS PRESSURE.”

Leray, who has spoken out against body-shaming in the past, then claimed Latto is merely jealous of her figure while telling her and others to keep her name out of their mouths.

“Anybody that talk about my body wants MY BODY!!!!!!!!!!!! Like real badddddd,” she continued. “If you don’t like me , support me or fwm don’t mention my name. Period. Shit don’t make sense.

“I don’t know none of you b*****s in real life. Stay in y’all lane and leave me outta the bullshit. I be minding my business and showing real love offline.”

Latto has yet to respond and I’m almost positive it’s because the line was meant as more of a name drop than a diss. To be fair, she said something similar, referencing Lola Brooke’s small frame on her ‘Don’t Play with it Remix,’ “Dropped a hundred on a pennant, that shit big as Lola.” So Coi may have definitely overreacted here.

What do you guys think? Was this just a name drop or a diss?
