Fetty Wap’s been gearing up for the release of his forthcoming sophomore album King Zoo. The project itself has been teased for a minute now and fans have been eagerly waiting for the Jersey artist to come through with it. However, he’s had some other things on his plate. The rapper was arrested in November for drunk drag racing which resulted in fifteen charges including reckless endangerment and driving while impaired. However, it looks like Fetty won’t be facing any jail time.
According to TMZ, Fetty Wap has dodged jail time after he struck a deal in his drunk driving case. The rapper got thirteen out of his fifteen charges dropped in he plead guilty to driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment. Prior to that, he was also charged with drag racing, speeding, driving without a valid license, following too close & more. However, the other charges were dropped.. The rapper will have to pay a $500 fine and do fourteen hours of impaired driving education. A pretty soft punishment overall.
Aside from his legal win, the rapper’s been teasing new music after he dropped For My Fans 3: The Final Chapter. The project dropped in January and this past month, he’s dropped some new music including “KissWowie” which serves as a tribute to his girlfriend. More recently, he released “Air It Out” which also came with some visuals. Now that his legal woes are solves, hopefully we could expect his sophomore release this year.
