TUNED IN OR TUNED OUT?: Mel B is Interested in Turning Her Life Story into a Biopic; Plans to Expose Years of Physical Abuse

Here’s something you may “really really want”…Mel B is currently working on a new autobiography but is also looking into her chances at documenting her life through film.

The 42-year-old former America’s Got Talent judge wants to make a documentary-style movie about her career and is keen to get the film played out on the big screen. It’s rumored that the project will span across her entire career including the time she spent as a Spice Girl – meaning four other lucky actresses are in for a shot of playing each of the singer’s group members.

Speaking to the folks over at The Sun on Sunday a source revealed: ‘The idea is for a documentary-style film, rather than a Hollywood number. ‘She will also talk about her bandmates. So it will be interesting to see how casting directors get on with finding actresses to play all five of the girls.’

According to the publication, she wants to ‘set the record straight after keeping silent for a decade’ in her book which she has appropriately titled Brutally Honest. Mel said: ‘This book (and film) will show that abuse can happen to anyone. It is important that my three girls, who I raise as a single mother, know how to break the chain of abuse – along with any other woman who reads this book.’

In March 2017, Mel filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years after she claimed he’d been physically and emotionally abusive throughout their marriage. The pair were locked in a nasty legal battle for most of the year, but on 15 November, Judge Juhas of the Los Angeles Superior Court dissolved the marriage.

Would you be interested in seeing Mel’s life in film? Are you TUNED IN OR TUNED OUT?
