TUNED IN OR TUNED OUT?: Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Life Is Being Depicted in a TV Biopic & It Looks As Tragic as it Sounds (TRAILER)

The trailer for TV One’s Bobbi Kristina Brown biopic, Bobbi Kristina, is one extremely sad scene after another, about how Bobbi Kristina dealt with the death of her mother Whitney Houston, felt overshadowed by greatness and stayed in a toxic relationship with her boyfriend Nick Gordon.

A relatively unknown actress, Joy Rovaris, plays Bobbi Kristina, while Vivica A. Fox stars as Whitney’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston. In a scene in which Pat describes Nick as “a troubled young man” in the trailer, Bobbi Kristina screams back, “He is the single best thing that’s happened to me since my mom.”

Demetria McKinney (known for Real Housewives of Atlanta) plays Whitney, and The Wire’s Hassan Johnson is Bobby Brown. TV One describes the movie as “an intimate look at the highs and lows of parental, familial and romantic love complicated by fame through the eyes of a sensitive, vulnerable young woman.”

Bobbi Kristina was 22 years old when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home, in January 2015. She died six months later after being in a medically-induced coma.

As part of a wrongful death lawsuit, Gordon—who’s become a tragic figure on his own—was ordered to pay $36 million and remains a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into Bobbi Kristina’s death.

Bobbi Kristina will air on TV One on October 8. Will you be tuning in? Check out the trailer below:
