Like many human beings, Rihanna struggles with the seemingly endless cycle of weight fluctuations. However, unlike most, she has to endure criticism on a global level due to her prominence in the public eye. A now-deleted post by the Barstool Sports blog titled “Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?” may have caught RiRi’s attention, prompting her to take to social media to fend off her fat shamers. The best part — she used a Gucci Mane meme to make her point.
Posted above a photo of a noticeably chubbier pre-prison Gucci Mane and the Atlanta rap god post-prison are the words: “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane.”
The post is accompanied with a teary emoji, which may indicate RiRi isn’t exactly bulletproof when it comes to her haters, but then again, who really is?
Interestingly enough, the blogger responsible for the article was promptly fired, according to Revelist.
Rihanna, who is evidently a huge LeBron James fan, was recently spotted at Oakland’s Oracle Arena for Game 1 of the NBA Finals and is reportedly working on a new movie with Lupita Nyong’o.
