Jennifer Hudson has put down the gloves in her custody battle against her ex-fiancé David Otunga.
The singer has reportedly agreed to give Otunga primary custody of her son, David Jr.
Hudson and Otunga, whom Hudson recently announced she had split with months ago, reached a temporary custody agreement in which Otunga is named as primary custodial parent, according to TMZ. This means that the former professional wrestler will have custody of the 8-year-old the majority of the time.
It appears part of the custody decision has to do with Hudson’s busy work schedule. The Grammy-winning singer is currently filming “The Voice UK” in London and will be traveling rather frequently in Los Angeles as a judge on the American version of “The Voice.”
Otunga had previously argued that he was their son’s primary caregiver since birth, due to Hudson’s demanding music and film career. The temporary custody agreement will remain until they reach a more formal agreement.
What’s more, Hudson voluntarily dropped her order of protection, which prohibited Otunga from having contact with her and their son. Otunga also reportedly moved out their L.A. home and won’t be returning.
