Nicki Minaj and Safaree Samuels definitely have a history of sorts. He has supposedly helped her in a big way over the years in terms of the behind-the-scenes work. Songwriting, producer, even executive producing – it seems like Samuels has done everything he can to help further Minaj’s sound, but at the end of the day, doesn’t seem to get the credit for it in the eyes of the public. Now, it seems that the rapper may have shouted out rap’s Barbie during a recent live show, admitting how much he misses her.
The refrain that Safaree keeps repeating while on stage, “Somebody tell Nicki that I miss her,” has been taken to mean one of two things: either Safaree was referring to Minaj, his old flame, or perhaps even Nikki Baby, the Love & Hip Hop star on VH1, who boasts over 3 million followers on Instagram alone.
