AFTER THE SHOW IT’S THE AFTER PARTY: Beyoncé Reportedly Throws Jay-Z An Early 48th Birthday Party in Brooklyn

Jay Z may be amidst his 4:44 tour but it doesn’t mean he can’t find time to party until late hours of the night with the Queen Bey for his 48th born day.

Sources told the folks over at Page Six that his lovely wife, Beyoncé, hosted a private party at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in a private room overlooking Manhattan, that started early Monday night. Jay never made his way to the function until after midnight, heading straight from his concert at the Barclays Center.

Witnesses say there were around 150 guests in attendance and HOV’s “Ace of Spades” Champagne was seen everywhere. Some A-list guests were Fabolous, actor Omari Hardwick, Victor Cruz, Maxwell, CC Sabathia, Nick Lachey and Spike Lee who recently debuted his remake of “She’s Gotta Have It” on Netflix. Mack Wilds and comedian Jerrod Carmichael were also seen a the party, where sources say dancing went until 4 AM and saw everyone getting down to rap, hip-hop and dance music.

Jay’s real birthday is on December 4th, but the early celebrations seemingly continued until Tuesday morning after the news of his Grammy nominations where he takes the lead with the most nods. Jay has a chance to snag a few awards in eight categories including album of the year, record of the year, song of the year and best rap album.

The award show takes place on January 28th and many fans have congratulated the academy for not only a more diverse demographic of nominees (compared to previous years) but also the number of rap albums up for consideration in the album of the year – of course Jay’s 4:44 going against Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., Childish Gambino’s Awaken, My Love!, Lorde’s Melodrama and Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic.
