Do you guys remember Liziane Gutierrez, the woman who accused Chris Brown of punching her in a Vegas hotel? Well, she is lucky to be alive after a botched liposuction procedure that put her in a medically induced coma for five days.
According to TMZ, Gutierrez flew to Istanbul last week to have a gastric balloon inserted into her stomach. Sources share with the site that after an evaluation, doctors decided that procedure was too risky and so they went with the liposuction procedure instead.
However, it turned out to be just as risky. When Gutierrez woke up from the surgery, she could barely breathe and docs discovered she’d developed a blood clot in her lungs and decided to place her in a coma.
A close friend of Liziane’s posted a video onto her Instagram page to let her followers know something had gone very wrong during the surgery.
Gutierrez, who is now in a better and stable condition, gave TMZ an update and said she’s still a bit dizzy but happy to be alive. Gutierrez also said she had blood tests done Tuesday which showed signs of improvement, and she will be discharged from the hospital later this week.
