Nearly two months after dropping her YG-assisted single “I Don’t,” Mariah Carey taps Remy Ma for the official remix.
As most of us will think, Remy’s placement on the remix is likely no coincidence. She is currently in a heated feud with Nicki Minaj, who famously beefed with Mariah during their stint together on “American Idol.” Remy also used a Mariah soundbite on her Nicki diss track “Another One.”
Rhyming and singing over the original, the Bronx bombshell delivers a verse about love gone awry. “Instead of looking at how far we’ve come,” she raps. “I’m regretting it, damn, are you dumb? / Wanted kids and thought you’d father them / Now? I wouldn’t even bother, hun.”
Produced by Jermaine Dupri, “I Don’t” is a single off Mariah’s forthcoming album, which may also feature a collaboration with Bryson Tiller.
