Chris Foerster, a former offensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins, was seen on video appearing to snort lines of cocaine. Foerseter resigned from his position with the team this morning, and a Black Nevada woman claims she uploaded the video to get revenge on the NFL for criticizing the peaceful protests of Black players.
There are a lot of moving parts to this story, so here’s what we can determine. As Deadspin notes, Foerster is seen allegedly using a $20 bill snorting and talking into a video camera.
According to the woman, Kijuana Nige, Foerster sent her the video professing his love for her and she uploaded the clip to her Facebook on Sunday. Nige, who apparently works as a model in Las Vegas, is milking the moment for what it’s worth by pointing out the hypocrisy of critics of the protests but noting the lack of outrage that a white NFL coach is doing lines.
Foerster, 55, was known as one of the highest-paid assistant coaches in the league with a reported salary range of $2.5 to $3 million per year. Forester, who turns 56 this Thursday, says he will seek professional help.
