The Kardashian/Jenner crew have once again sparked backlash over their Vogue magazine appearances. Kim recently debuted one of two covers for her Vogue India feature. Although it was a celebratory moment for her, being her seventh Vogue cover, many people online weren’t happy with her presence with the publication.
The 37-year-old is of Armenian descent, but that means nothing to Twitter users who were quick to question why Kim was gracing the cover rather than a woman of Indian descent. When Kendall graced Vogue India in May 2017, she too received the same backlash prompting the publication to respond with:
“In the last 10 years, Vogue India has had only 12 international covers, including Kendall Jenner in 2017,” they said. “Therefore, statistically, 90% of our covers are Indian! And we are proud of that. India has given the world so many beautiful faces to admire. After all, we are Vogue, an international brand, and we want to give the love back by featuring some of the best international celebrities on over covers. Occasionally!”
Check out the Twitter reacts since Kim’s featurette, what do you guys think?
so many pretty Indian models out there and Vogue India somehow chooses kendall jenner and kim kardashian for their covers. How hard is it to have Indian women represent Indian culture.

India has Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai and they get Kim Kardashian? Vogue India is truly trash and over for not acknowledging brown beauty.

Kim Kardashian on the Vogue India cover is nothing special… but I’m actually more concerned that even when the magazine chooses to feature Indian celebrities and models, they are almost never dark skinned. Which is a gross misrepresentation of real-life India.

you fake woke people didn't complain when Beyoncé, Blake Lively, Cindy Crawford, Victoria Beckham, and many other non-desi women were on the cover of Vogue India but since it's Kim Kardashian so now you start complaining lol
