Sure, we all can agree there comes a time for most people where they feel their most comfortable with their special someone, and decide that they can let them see them in possibly their most vulnerable state. It could be as simple as not being dressed up, lounging in sweats, not wearing any make-up, or even scarier for some…no weave!!!
Rapper and actress Eve recently revealed while fulfilling co-hosting duties on ‘The Real,’ that she knew her husband Maximillion Cooper was the one for her the moment she allowed him to see her with straight back corn rows in preparation of getting a weave. “He’s probably the only dude who’s seen me,” the 37-year-old beauty said of Cooper catching her in between styles, before continuing, “I wouldn’t let a guy see me in my braids and in that moment,” she remarked. “But now I’m like, ‘Yeah, I don’t care.’”
According to Eve, When Cooper was more intrigued than shocked by her weave-less appearance, as she said, “That’s when I knew! ‘I guess we’re staying together.’”“I was actually getting my hair done,” she told the hosts. “I was at a salon actually, in a little suite. He walked in and I was like, what am I gonna do? Run? He was just like, ‘Okay.’ I’m his first Black girl anyway. He has gone through Weave 101 with me. He knows now that if I say, ‘Babe I’m getting my hair done,’ he’s like, ‘Well, how long?’” As Eve pointed out though, while she’s a lover of a good weave, Cooper has been quite supportive of whatever changes she makes to her hair, bundles or no bundles.
