OH BABY BABY: Britney Spears Checks Herself Into Mental Facility

The singer is reportedly distraught over her father’s health condition.

Britney Spears has checked herself into a mental health facility after news of her father’s health condition, TMZ reports. The pop singer’s father has been dealing with some serious health complications in recent times which sources said has caused her severe distress. Jamie Spears is reportedly not getting better. Sources said that she checked herself into the facility about a week ago and that she’ll be there for 30 days.

Jamie Spears has undergone two surgeries due to series issues with his intestines and colon. He recently underwent the second surgery which has caused him to suffer serious complications. Britney’s father’s health issues began in late 2018 after his colon ruptured.

Jamie Spears’ health issues have already caused her to put her business on hold. Earlier this year, she announced that she’d be putting her Las Vegas residency on pause in order to care for her father. She took to Instagram at the top of 2019 to reveal the residency wouldn’t be moving forward.

I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart,” she wrote. “However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand.”
