Footage reveals the likes of Chance The Rapper, Jimmy Kimmel, Joel Embiid, LeBron James, and Draymond Green holding back laughter while she serenades the world with her sultry rendition. Today, Fergie has found herself at the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. It’s not easy to live down a gaffe of this magnitude, but the former Black Eyed Peas singer has one experienced player in her corner.

The folks at TMZ recently caught up with the legendary diva Mariah Carey, whose antics and mishaps are well documented. The cameraman asked a busy Mariah whether or not she had any advice for Fergie, and Mariah came through with a brief response. “Darling, nobody needs to listen to that,” says Mariah, referring to the chorus of hate and ridicule. After all, she has lived through a similar incident in the not-too-distant past.
Fans and haters alike will no doubt recall when Mariah Carey experienced her own moment in fail history, during a performance at Time Square for 2017 New Year’s Eve. For reasons unknown, Carey decided to stop singing mid-set, attempting to pass it off to the audience. It didn’t work. While she went on to bounce back with a strong outing for the 2018 NYE event, she previously found herself being subjected to an equally relentless barrage of clowning. It stands to reason that she knows what Fergie is going through, and while her advice isn’t exactly the picture of compassion, it’s still a solid piece of wisdom.
