MO’ MONEY MO’ PROBLEMS: ‘Star’ Actress Ryan Destiny Being Sued for Allegedly Failing to Pay Management

A wise man once said “mo’ money, mo’ problems,” and he was right. It’s as if you haven’t really made it until someone comes after your coins. Lee Daniels’ ‘Star’ actress/singer Ryan Destiny has officially made it, as she is facing legal action from her managers amid allegations of unpaid commissions.

Destiny was sued by Primary Wave Entertainment — they claim she was under their management in 2015 when she landed a lead role on Lee Daniel‘s hit show, “Star,” and was contractually obligated to pay them a 10% commission.

According to docs, obtained exclusive by the folks over at The Blast, Primary Wave says Destiny has breached her contract by failing to pay for “Star,” despite continuing to “perform extensive services as her management firm.”

They are seeking access to her accounting records to receive what they are reportedly owed. Stay tuned for more on the story as it comes in.
