Colin Kaepernick has all but sealed his fate in the NFL after filing a grievance accusing team owners of collusion. While many are anticipating his next move or perhaps a response from the league, hip-hop mogul Master P is suggesting the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback start his own football league—and he’s down to help.
P spoke with TMZ about his Global Mixed Gender Basketball league and how he has no problem with his players kneeling for the national anthem or protesting. He also spoke on the importance of ownership and the role it plays in freedom of expression.
“Without real ownership, you have no control no matter how much money you make,” P said. “You should be able to say I wanna kneel or I wanna stand, but without ownership, you don’t have that option.”
“They gonna have to start their own league,” P added before saying Kaepernick is more than welcome to come to his league if wants to stay in shape.
“I’ll help him start his own league. I think he should, I mean he’s a great football player. I think the NFL should have some competition.”
