After he was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers – Iman Shumpert has yet to play a single game for the Sacramento Kings, and all that time sitting on the bench has given him a bunch of time to think about his future that doesn’t include playing basketball.
The Sacramento Kings guard is planning out his future now and it involves being a full time rapper.
According to the folks over at The Jasmine Brand, Iman Shumpert is officially taking his music career serious. The 27-year-old NBA star is married to actress, singer and dancer Teyana Taylor.
This month, he legal documents to obtain the trademark “Iman” for use in music. The docs state that he plans to use the trademark for audio recording and production, entertainment services by a musical artist and producer, production of musical sound recording, entertainment services in the nature of live musical performances and services in the nature of live local performances by musician.”
