Mariah Carey is making history once again.
Not only is Mariah Carey ending the decade with the number one song in the country, but she’s also making history right along with this. Mariah Carey is undeniably a living legend. From her amazing voice, to her diva antics, to her hits…on hits…on hits, Mariah has permanently etched her name in stone for fans of many decades and her latest accomplishment proves just that. Thanks to her Christmas classic ‘All I Want for Christmas is You,’ (which is currently sitting at No. 1 on Billboard for the third consecutive week), Mariah is now the first artist in history to have a number one record in four decades.
Carey becomes the first artist to top the Hot 100 in four distinct decades (notably, with a song from the 1990s extending her run into both the 2010s and 2020s). Carey passes eight chart cornerstones that have reigned on the Hot 100 in three decades each.
