JUST OUT HERE HAVING TIME: Apparently Drake Is Out Here Buying Expensive Handbags for the Future Wife He Hasn’t Met

Drake isn’t married and, to the best of our knowledge, isn’t even engaged. However, the uber-rich rap star isn’t letting that small detail get in the way of him buying designer handbags for the partner he doesn’t have.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Drizzy is apparently going to town buying up expensive purses for his future wife, at least as per interviewer Tatiana Siegel. She writes the following: “He reveals that he has been collecting Birkin bags for years, a gift for ‘the woman I end up with.'” A potentially harmless statement when taken out of context but, if you consider Drake’s public persona of a man who has been known to play the field, this might come across as a little obsessive. Not that most women in the world wouldn’t consider becoming Mrs. Aubrey Graham at some point, but there’s a small part of that statement which makes you want to say, “Hey Drake, everything’s going to be okay. After all, you’re Drake.”

There were many more interesting tidbits to come out of that interview, none the least of which was Drake’s budding career as a Hollywood producer. With a credit on The Carter Effect, a sports documentary about former Toronto Raptors forward Vince Carter, Drake and his business partner Future (not the rapper) have teamed with LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment to executive produce a revival of Top Boy, the popular British TV series. It will go into production early next year and is scheduled to hit Netflix in 2019. Drake is also supposedly looking to link up with Steve Golin of Anonymous Content and film studio A24. Finally, Apple have basically given Drake a blank check to “produce whatever he chooses,” another push by Jimmy Iovine and his team to raise the profile of their platform-specific content by luring another massive star into the mix. Besides cameos as himself, Drizzy hasn’t really been seen in an on-screen role since his days on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Could more acting roles be in his future? Only time will tell.
