Ready?…set?…Go!
Kash Doll and Big Sean pull out all the stops in Kash’s roadway-themed new video for “Ready Set” from her as-yet-untitled debut album. The Jesse Ray Diamond and Teyana Taylor-directed video features shots of Kash Doll performing on a race track and plays off the reputation of her and Sean’s hometown Detroit as “Motor City,” home of good, old-fashioned, American-made muscle cars.
In the clip, Kash joins Sean Don in the winner’s circle after taking an American muscle car out for a few laps around the track in the midst of her bristling rhymes. “‘Ready Set’ is a motivational and aspirational song,” “I wanted to let people know if I can make it, despite the things I’ve been through, they can do it too. I’m a D girl, so I’m determined.” she told the folks over at Billboard of the song.
“It was only right I hit up Detroit legend Big Sean,” Kash says. “I appreciate him for always showing me love. Coming from the same city, I watched how hard he worked and that inspired me so it was only fitting we did this song together.”
