I KNOW YOU LYING: The Internet is Currently Trying to “Cancel” Eminem After An Old Verse Resurfaces of Him Mocking Rihanna’s Domestic Violence Situation with Chris Brown – “I’d Beat a B*tch Down Too”

It feels like the early 2000’s all over again as Eminem is making some waves with “offensive” lyrics…even though they’re from over 10 years ago.

An alleged snippet of an unreleased verse from a B.O.B and Eminem collaboration ‘Things Get Worse’, has leaked. The track featured on both B.o.B’s E.P.I.C. (Every Play is Crucial) mixtape and Eminem’s leaked bootleg compilation, Straight from the Lab Part 2. A user on the on the popular forum Reddit was the first to post the alleged diss. In the snippet, Eminem can be heard rapping “Of course I side with Chris Brown, I’d beat a b*tch down too if she gave my d*ck a itch now,” of course referencing Rihanna’s infamous domestic violence incident with Brown back in 2009.

According to sources, the song “Things Get Worse” was recorded over a cast-off track Eminem wrote for his 2009 album, “Relapse,” which was released months after Brown was charged with felony assault. Brown was accused of leaving “visible injuries” on Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time, resulting in her hospitalization. He later pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal.

Despite the track being from 2009, since it’s Reddit posting the short clip has began making it’s rounds via social media and of course, some users claim to be outraged. Some claim that Eminem is wrong for making light of domestic violence, while others are simply upset with him for taking what they feel is a jab at Rihanna. However, there are some fans remaining more logical, claiming the lyrics is old and acknowledging the fact that Rihanna and Em have worked together more than once since then, most notably on the songs “Love the Way You Lie” and “The Monster” in 2010 and 2013.

Mathers’ career has been full of controversies stemming from his depictions of violence against women. “Things Get Worse” contains multiple references to female celebrities — including Dakota Fanning, who was 16 in 2009 — being sexually abused and murdered.

The song also disses Angelina Jolie, Jessica Simpson, Carmen Electra, Natasha Bedingfield, and Mathers’ mother, who filed a slander lawsuit against him in 1999 over lyrics on the “The Slim Shady LP.” Mathers was also sued by his ex-wife, Kimberly Scott, over a 2000 song called “Kim” that describes the rapper violently killing her. Both suits were eventually settled. Take a listen to the snippet below along with some of the reactions. Do you think this is anything to be offended about or is this just the internet trying to stir up some old dirt? Thoughts?
