Authorities arrested Jonathan Majors in New York City for allegedly assaulting a woman on Saturday (March 25). Moreover, TMZ reports that sources from law enforcement told them they took him in on Saturday morning on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment. Furthermore, police reportedly responded to a service call in Manhattan, specifically Chelsea, around 11 a.m. ET. According to these reports, a woman claimed that she got into an altercation with the actor, who proceeded to attack her. Their alleged relationship is unconfirmed, and Majors’ representative denied these claims of wrongdoing.
Not only that, but the alleged victim displayed injuries such as a laceration behind her ear, reddened areas, and clear marks of impact on her face. Fortunately, she is in stable condition according to reports after officials transported her to a nearby medical center. Moreover, police apprehended Majors and took him to prison after belief that there was enough evidence for probable cause. Still, from what TMZ informs, he is already out of law enforcement’s hands.
According to TMZ here’s what allegedly happened in the lead-up to this. Police were told that the alleged victim is Majors’ girlfriend — and, according to her, they got into an argument while in a taxi returning home from a bar in Brooklyn.
They continued that police were told the girlfriend saw another woman texting Majors, and she confronted him — trying to sneak a peek at his phone. The alleged victim/GF claims this got Majors mad, and that he allegedly grabbed her hand and allegedly slapped her.
The source also stated the alleged victim claims he put his hands around her neck during this. Our sources say the woman was dropped off somewhere and that JM spent the night elsewhere. It appears the girlfriend went to police the following morning (Sat.) and reported a crime.
“He’s done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” the 33-year-old’s representative stated to the outlet. Of course, this news should come as a massive shock to those even remotely caught up with movies these days.
