And he’s ready to put out new music.
DMX is making a comeback in 2019 – both physically and musically. The rapper will reportedly be released from prison in Jan. 2019, and he’s hoping to drop some new music as well.
According to DMX’s attorney, Murray Richman, X is excited to come home next month and resume his rap and acting career. TMZ reports the “Party Up” artist has received numerous offers to working on his own biopic. He’s also been writing songs from behind bars that could be apart of an upcoming album.
As previously reported, DMX is completing a one-year sentence connected to his tax evasion case. He was also ordered to pay $2.3 million in restitution, which he can pay off in installments. Prosecutors originally claimed the rapper tried to skip out on coughing up a whopping tax bill of $1.7 million by hiding royalties and other sources of income that he was receiving. X’s attorney reportedly played his client’s 1998 single “Slippin” to show much he was going through during a court hearing discussing prison time, but it didn’t work.
DMX will reportedly be released from prison on Jan. 27, 2019. Look out for any hints about new music or a new movie in the works, are you here for either?
