HAPPY BIRTHDAY?: Columbus Short Has ANOTHER Warrant Out for His Arrest; Issued on His 36th Birthday

Columbus Short may be heading to jail soon as a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The news came on the day of his 36th birthday.

TMZ reports that the arrest warrant was issued after the former Scandal star failed to appear in court for divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Tanee McCall, 37.

This was the second time Short failed to appear before the judge in as many months, which lead to the warrant being issued.

The latest hearing Short failed to appear for was a ‘judgment debtor exam’ that would have delved into the actor’s finances.

McCall was his second wife, who he married in 2005, after his first marriage to Brandi Short ended in 2003. McCall filed for divorce first in 2013, and again in 2014.

Short plead guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence in 2014, as part of a no-jail plea deal, and he also pleaded no contest to a felony assault charge after allegedly throwing a punch at an in-law.

He was also charged with felony battery after bar brawl, which, along with his domestic violence case, lead to the actor leaving Scandal in April 2014, after three years on the hit ABC series.

Most recently, Short was sentence to serve a year in jail on domestic assault charges after beating his current wife, Aida, who he married in 2017.

Despite his legal troubles, Short took to social media today to celebrate his 36th birthday, which he shares with Jimmy Fallon, Sanaa Lathan and Alison Sweeney.

‘I’m thankful for the storm, thankful for the journey, Im thankful for making it one more year. #StillHere #PutThatInYourPipeAndSmokeIt #VirgoSeason #BdayMood,’ Short said in an Instagram post.
