Even if you aren’t familiar with Angela Stanton’s work, we’re almost certain you’ve heard her name. Just for a bit of background, reality television star and best selling author Angela Stanton, initially made huge waves in the reality realm long before she even hit the television with her book “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil,” about her alleged racketeering with former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Phaedra Parks. (Yes, “southern belle” Phaedra Parks.)

In her book, which was published in 2013, Stanton reveals that Parks ran a white-collar “criminal enterprise” that included fake bank accounts and bad checks. However, Parks covered her tracks so well that only her husband, Apollo Nida, and Stanton took the blame when it all fell apart…Which leads us to our current story with Ms Stanton.

After a stint in prison based around the situation with Phaedra, Stanton’s aforementioned book lead her to starting a publishing company, ‘Stanton Publishing House.’ She is also a main cast member on season 3 of the BETHer reality show ‘From the Bottom Up.’ During the show’s latest episode Stanton voiced how she appreciates real and authentic stories such as her own, and wants to help mentor other authors under her imprint to tell their stories in book format. Insert Lovely Mimi from season 6 of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ here.

In the clip, Mimi sashays into Angela’s office and proceeds to tell her a bit about the story she wants her to help get out of her system. Now, based on Mimi’s bubbly personality and in your face attitude we’ve seen via Love & Hop, I was expecting some type of relationship or sex etiquette novel, however things actually got surprisingly deep, with Mimi nearly breaking down in tears as she shared stories of her family’s hardships while she was growing up.

“My mother baby sat $10 a kid for a whole day. We’re from a village, we’re from a straw house, with no shoes. In America, we couldn’t even have freedom of religion here, my father would get beat if he as ever caught speaking the word of God.” Take a look at the clip below. Would you be here for reading what MiMi and Stanton come up with? Or is it a “GO AWAY FROM ME WITH THIS, APOLLO” situation?

Tune in to BET HER to see Angela Stanton’s “From the Bottom Up” on Saturday’s at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time or 9:00 p.m. Central. Catch up before the SEASON FINALE airs THIS Saturday!
