Okay, so two things about this story are totally not surprising. The first being that Amber Rose is talking (that’s the usual), the second is that she’s speaking on how she many men have touched her, which well, I don’t think we had any doubt that list may be a bit hefty as well. However what is surprising is that Amber’s stance on the matter at hand is surprisingly understandable, insightful, and relatable. See? Sounds surprising, right?
Well, the 33-year-old model revealed that she had been touched inappropriately on numerous occasions in an interview with Yahoo Style while commenting on the recently released tape of Donald Trump making comments about women. Rose said,
“I want him to get in trouble for it because I cannot even count how many times a famous guy touched me inappropriately. Seriously. Imagine this: Donald Trump comes and touches me inappropriately, right? I’m a regular ass girl. Do I call 911? Do I get on Twitter and tweet about it? How should I go about letting people know that this guy did it to me and who’s actually going to believe me, you know what I’m saying?”
Amber raises an interesting point, it’s unfortunate, but while unfortunate, it is certainly a reality and a HUGE problem a HUGE problem about sexual harassment and assault by famous individuals. Rose continued her insight by explaining her preference to take ownership of the word “slut”:
“People not understanding that women are sexual beings as well is the reason why I refer to myself as a sl*t. It really just takes away the pain, takes away the bullying that we deal with as women,”
