The Summer of Swaggy P took a strange turn Tuesday night when Nick Young told a TMZ cameraman that “everybody needs to do cocaine.”
Fresh off his first championship as a Warriors reserve, the 33-year-old free agent caught up with TMZ outside nightclub 1 Oak on Tuesday. The cameraman found Young outside of 1 OAK, a nightclub in Los Angeles, and asked him about his feelings on Canada legalizing marijuana. But Young blew past the marijuana question, instead preferring to share his thoughts on another drug.
“I want people to pass cocaine,” he said, to the surprise of even TMZ. “Everybody needs to do cocaine.”
The comment, predictably, is being poorly received by many NBA fans. Young is known for his outlandish ways both on and off the court from his years with the Lakers. Catch the video below:
